Could be anything from a faulty sensor to a flush and fill to a completely new diff.

I know a lot of these cars have problems with the rear differential.
I don't think that's true at all. The early 1st gen cars had a weak diff, but the diffs in the V2s were pretty much bulletproof.

It says service differential sensor. Wobbles in the rear a little when I turn. Anybody had the same issue?
"Wobbles in the rear"? Not sure what that means, but that sounds more like a tire / alignment issue or maybe some worn out bushings in the rear suspension.

For the warning pop-up you're getting, I'd start by checking the fluid level and changing the fluid (whether it's low or not).

The Genll V rear diff came from the factory with minimal fluid, causing early failure. The diff itself is solid. Lack of grease will create an issue.
