Try a general google search, it's more likely to bring up technical info like this with the exact, or similar application that uses the same part. Rockauto lists only the 2010-2011 GMC Terrain as using the same throttle body as the 08-11 CTS. The mismatch between the plug sockets is a strong indication that even if you get it wired correctly, it will not operate compatibly with the PCM. Sounds like you have a throttle body from a 2012+ model. The throttle valve may be a different diameter which will cause an air load mismatch with the throttle position, or the built in sensor calibration may be different, or both.

Do you know what the wires on my harness are for each one?
the colors
No, I have not researched that. GM is pretty good about sticking to wire color assignments across similar applications for a start.
Below is what I found on first google search, use at your own risk. I'd look for a used correct part, as opposed to attempting to adapt the incorrect part. You could potentially cause additional problems doing this as a gentle warning.

FWIW, the power wire to mirrors have changed colors over the different model years. May mean nothing, but comparing one model year wiring harness to another year's engine may bring trouble.

Listen to Joseph and tinman.
It's obviously not the correct application and you're inviting multiple problems by trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole.

Source the proper part and be done with it.

Sounds that way. It is a slow time of year for forums, however. There may be some slim hope, don't give up yet. Have you gotten a subscription to alldatadiy.com?

I don't have a wire diagram but isn't the layout on the replacement plug the same as the original (albeit without color coded wires)? If so it should not be difficult to match up the old wires with the new plug.

I need to know what colors for the 2009 cts 3.6 go where on pins 1 to 6 from top to bottom 1 being at the top on the sensor pins

Identical post/thread as your other thread. Why?

Doesn't like the [correct] answer being given.

Well, I knew that already.
We were being as subtle as knocking on a door with a battering ram, though.
