OK so I’m working for a client and he has a 2008 Cadillac DTS it’s a diamond white it’s nice well about a year and a half two years ago he was driving on the road and had a blowout and it took out the wiring harness on the passenger side rear tire well they had some guys fix it somewhat and he said he drove around for a couple months he parked it when he parked it it wouldn’t run no more so my question is what do I do to get it running again .. I took off of another 2008 DTS took the air pump and the wiring harness to the air pump and I put it into his Cadillac and now I change the gauge cluster cause the gauge cluster didn’t wanna work like the odometer and everything was not working at all and now it won’t even turn over like I said it’s been sitting for over a year and a half they left windows down also so it’s moldy inside now I can take the wire that goes to the starter underneath the hood and hit the terminal with it and it all turned over but it still doesn’t wanna fire also the brake is sort of depressed and it wont shift from park
any help would be appreciated greatly appreciate it

Well, letting it sit for a year and 1/2 did not help any, it may have even compounded your problems. What wiring harness to what is in the passenger side rear tire well? If you are referring to ELC system then your gauge cluster not working is a separate issue. Since you change the gauge cluster without knowing why it was not working in the first place may have been a mistake. Check all fuses and put a scanner on it would be my first choice. Good luck!

I would put the original cluster back. Then start with where the damaged wires are located and replace or repair as needed. If still a no start then check for the fuel pump turning on. Turn the key to the on position and listen for the pump. Leaving the window open means all kinds of water got in and the wiring harness inside probably got wet/corroded.
