For those of you with AWD, is it normal to have a little drivetrain growl on the highway? I have never had an AWD car. I have owned plenty of 4WD trucks and I know there is a little front differential growl out of them on the highway, but figured the Caddy would be real quiet. It is a similar growl, so maybe it is just typical for all AWD/4WD's ? Or maybe there is a TSB out there to fix this on 2008 cars?

I have a howling coming from the left rear at speeds from 30-60. Seems to get louder the faster I go. I was wondering if I was the only one. Trying to get it to the dealership, just been busy as hell.
That sounds to me like a wheel bearing, however don't rule out tire wear. I had a bad alignment job done and it chewed up the tires to the point where the entire car howled driving at almost any speed. You couldn't really see it in the tires but when you ran your hand across the tread you could feel how choppy it was. New tires and a good alignment made the car feel new again.
