I have read and been told that this has been a historical issue with the 2008 CTS, I have already had to make 3 major repairs, just replacing the entire drive shaft and just last month the ingnition coil. I am hoping the dealership, Larson Cadillac in Fife Washington will do the right thing and help me resolve this. Can't believe the transmission would fail. Has there been any TSB Bulletins on this transmission failure?

Any information will help. Thank you.

A 7 year old car ? Lotsa luck. CCC will go to bat for you at your dealership, but out of warranty your chances are slim and none.

I hope Cadillac would make a more reliable car. Transmission should not fail at 80 k. Ridiculous.

I will never buy another Cadillac again. If this is the way customers are taken care of, ridiculous.
