Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself as well as present a problem I am having. My wife's 2007 SRX has an issue where it is experiencing a rough idle. It starts up fine, then when the RPMs lower to idle it is rough. When I turn on the A/C it vibrates more intensely. I already cleaned out the throttle body but that change anything. The engine mounts are still in good shape. I changed out the spark plugs earlier this year. Could it be the ignition coils? My mechanic skills are a novice but I am willing to listen and learn. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I'd assume a misfire would set a trouble code. Do you have a scanner? Checking fuel trim, for example, would tell you if the engine is running rich or lean. Cleaning the throttle body could cause rough idle for awhile as the engine readjusts to the new condition. Might try disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes. This can reset the ECM to base conditions to allow for relearning for the newly cleaned throttle body. Is the engine V6 or 8?

Thanks for the reply. This truck is a V6. I haven't tried the disconnecting of the battery but I'll definitely look into that. I have one of those bluetooth obd scanner that works with my phone. I think it's called FIXD. I'll run it today after work and report back what I see. I'll compare it with results from Autozone.

I'm hoping I don't have to replace the ignition coil packs.

Today, I decided to do a Seafoam treatment to the SRX. I poured a bottle of Motor Treatment in the gas tank and sprayed an entire Sea Foam Spray engine cleaner and lube in the throttle body. I gotta say, so much smoke came out of the exhaust. I was not surprised really. It did improve the performance of the truck and reduced the idling but it is still there. It gets worse when I turn on the A/C.

Okay, as I said I would, I scanned the truck for errors. Here is what I got. Doesn't look good. :/

P0019 is possibly a symptom of timing chain problems. Which are fairly common on the V6.
This is a lot of help. I appreciate this. I will buy a sensor to replace the Bank 2 Sensor B. If that doesn't solve it then I'll start with the list this site suggests.

Okay, I have an update. I replaced the Camshaft Position Sensor Bank 2 Sensor B about an hour ago. I cleared the check engine light and drove it around for about 15 minutes. Idle is still rough but not as bad. Finally, the check engine light came back on. I ran my scanner and now I have this. I am confused. What makes this different from the previous camshaft position sensor I just replaced? I know they are more than 1 sensor but if anyone can shed a light here, I'd appreciate it much. Oh, and the scanner tells me my Cadillac is 2008. 🤦‍♂️ My gosh, I feel like an idiot. All this time, I've been saying 2007.

I replaced the other CPS and now I get a different error. In the red circles, I replaced the sensor on the left 2 weeks ago and the one on the right today. Now, I have no idea if it's the crankshaft PS or the camshaft PS on bank A (passenger side). I don't mind putting in the work, but I'm going to pissed if I end up replacing all sensors and I still have this error. Before I forget, is that oil normal in the sensor opening?

I guess now, I have to replace the sensors on the passenger side or Bank "A"

Here is a short video where you can hear the sound of the vibration when I turn on the AC.
