Well the last couple of days I have been noticing that the cover on the rear of my truck has been falling off and I keep having to push it back in.
Do you guys think it has to do with this crazy heat?
I see there are 4 clips which hold it in place with the bumper......they do not look the sturdiest and might even be bent.
Its a real pain clipping it back in every day......any ideas?
Thanks!

There is a TSB out on just that specific problem. I just took my 2007 in and had the new cover/bumper taken care of under warranty. They add additional side clips and drill a spot out in the bumper cover. No problems now!

I had this issue, and they just replaced the cover, as my old one (upper four clips) had weakened due to me taking it off too many times I guess for the hitch mounted bike carrier. They did not do any reinforcing. Is the "drill spot" visible from the outside? And, Carl, it does not really fall off, it falls down and then it is ONLY held by the two bottom clips (the four upper clips fall out so the cover just sort of hangs there).

Mine was gone when I bought it, so I had to buy new one and have it painted for about $100 I think, so I think it'll be fine.... BUT my boys '08 was falling off a cpl months after he bought it... werd

UPDATE: I dont have much time nowadays to take it to the dealer etc. So when I got home yesterday I took some electrical tape and reinforced the clips and it actually CLIPPED in (you heard the sound) So until then I think this will do.

Thanks guys.

Talked to my dealer today - he knows about TSB and ordered me a new one. He sais they actually order a new one, versus modify the old one. Does not make sense, but doesn't matter to me. Previously I would use a little RTV to hold it in place, which worked. Until I needed to take it off again and then I needed to re-apply.

The holes are not visible once the new cover is in place. It's a pretty simple and somewhat crude fix...appears to be a 3/8 hole from a drill and then there are 2 additional new flap/clips on the cover itself that go into the new holes to secure it just a little better. My dealer did order a new cover and paint it under warranty so the issue is 100% resolved. The holes are on the top right and top left corners of where the edges and new clips of the cover will slide into.

Thanks Dave ^^^. I was worried about that.

Also, this will actually be my third cover. I still have number one in my basement. And it works, as stated, with a little RTV on the top 4 clips. If somebody does not take theirs off very often (needs to be RTVd each time it is replaced after removal) and is currently missing theirs (in Quicksilver), shoot me a PM and it is yours after my new cover arrives and I am happy with the paint match. I am pretty sure they will let me keep cover number two (presently on the truck), so I will still have a spare. If they don't let me keep it, sorry, but the offer will have to be withdrawn. I need one spare in case I do something stupid like back into a snowbank.
