I have tried to search for existing topics and read every thread on this but still have no clear answer. Just purchased a 2007 Escalade. It has the one rear monitor flip down screen. I have been trying to plug in PS3 to the rear input using the PS3 rca. Nothing is coming over the monitor or over the speakers. I switched the input on the head unit to aux rear and I have powered on the rear unit (back of the center console) there is nothing on the screen at all. Is it something I am.doing wrong? Regardless of the PS3 system, it should be displaying anything input to those rcs inputs on the screen correct? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If this is a repost, I am sorry.

I did tons of research and I ended up with the Nav tv barracuda and isimple. I also enabled my radio have aux tab since I did not have RSE dealer can program radio to do this its called u42, you will need the multimedia kit which is 49$. This gives you av in and out with RCAs. Now I have a 3.5mm for guests using aux tab, the isimple for my usb drive and Bluetooth phone and audio. I also wanted Nav traffic which only came out in 2009 so I had to swap my radio with oemautopartsco.co and get a xm receiver from a 2010. I dont like the radio from 2012-2014. I like the one from 2009 because I still have tilt and 6 cd/dvd changer. Also when I get a bluetooth call I can answer from steering wheel and radio shows caller ID. When I play a dvd upfront my headrests shows the same so the 6,DVD changer comes in handy. I am now going to get a module that shows my iphone screen on my radio. It goes for 90$ I put a pinhole camera which I sell at spy shops in the front so when I press the up mirror it shows the front and down shows the rear cam. This happens when left or right control is in the middle. Barracuda is the winner , it also haves a lot of other options like 12v controls to customize. I could not be happier. I have a iPhone 6 and when I use pandora or spotify I can change tracks with my steering wheel. The only thing I don't have is the rear backup lines which I heard might not work on a 2008 anyways.
I appreciate your reply, however you are speaking another language to me. I just want to know if the rear aux inputs should be displaying video on the drop down tv in the middle of the captains chairs in the back. (Also the stereo playing whatever inputs are there) I am new to this forum (used to be on cadillac owners but sold my 09 ctsv) I am only trying to accomplish being able to use the rear aux inputs for a source. I am not sure what rse is. I know it's rear system entertainment or whatever, but I have 1 drop down screen. Not the headrests. I can't pm because I am new here. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks wesyder. It doesn't play video. Maybe I should try a different source. Was hooking ps3 up (already have the power supply aspect down) but didn't see any video.
SpyShops NY - Did you get the multimedia kit from the dealer? I'm assuming that's where you got the $49 price. What is the install like? Also, what did the dealer charge you to enable u42 to get the Aux tab enabled? I'd like to do this so that I can get a mimics device for my phone. Thx.

no I got the multimedia kit from oemautopartsco.com this is what gave me the video in and output. Some dealers will do the u42 for you and some wont know what your talking about, doug from oem can also program your radio to do this, this is only if you don't have the aux tab on your screen. I would go to doug for this and forget the dealer. I have the ability to hook up av sources to my front radio either audio only or video and audio. I also have the ability to play a dvd on my front radio screen and with the nav tv barracuda I can also watch dvds while driving. I used the video out from the multimedia kit and I can also display the dvd playing from the front radio to the rear monitors also.
