Greetings! weird question, my wife drove the Cadillac and somehow tore off one the the ignition cylinder "wings" rubber coating. The entire plastic/rubber tip is missing.

The question is, I can not find just that piece. Do I need a whole new cylinder piece?

In your wife's defense, I did the same thing. I don't think I use Hulk strength to turn the key, but one day I tore the tip right off the "wing".

I get it, it is old and manipulated constantly. Just never saw that before. and it did not come apart on ME, which would have made it OK. :ROFLMAO:

But I guess the ones I have had were more of a solid piece and not rubber/plastic coated. Guess a new or JY one is in the future.

Thanks all!!

Did you have any luck locating this part? Supposedly, no longer available. Is the 04-07 CTS-V part different? If it's different is there a way to get it to work?
Had the car in for some work at a dealership (Ed Morse Cadillac) and they ended up breaking mine. There was a problem with it getting locked and not able to remove. If a dealership breaks something un-replaceable, what do you do?

I just had the exact same thing happen, mine basically disintegrated when started car going to lunch. Question is do you have to get the ignition lock re-keyed
