Just bought a new 2007 CTS and have this "FRESH GAS'" odor inside the cabin. Narrowed it down to the rear driver side back seat. I took the seat out and the smell of fresh gas was really bad.
Any suggestions
Thanks

Sit it out in the sun and let it air out. It's probably the result of a spill.

Take it to your dealer ASAP and make them find out what's wrong and fix it. That's what warranties are for.

Oh, and :welcome5: to the forum!

One could advise you to do the following:

1. open all windows as someone suggested.
2. throw a few lighted matches in car.
3. run like hell.
4. raw gas smell will be gone.
5. Now, need to get rid of other smells in car, like burnt everything.
6. Need to file ins claim.
7. Need to send all of us your new address. Some of those dang ins adjusters just have no concept of creative mechanicing (to coin a new word). In my opinion Levinworth is too far out away from everything. Lewisburg, PA is in middle of snow country. Alcatraz is shut down, but probably nice anyway.
