Anyone know how to make the DVD's play in Drive yet? Without any hardwiring of anything.

Know how to do it in the CTS-V but not the 2006 STS.

Thanks:confused:

We know the Navigation system is supplied by Denso. We also know Denso supplies a system for the Toyota Sienna.

While these are definitely not the same system, it would be reasonable to assume there are a few similarities being from the same supplier.

The following pages would be a good start for someone technically inclined. The following pages detail both modifications. 1) Allow DVD playback and control while in motion. 2) Unlock key navigation functions while in motion.

The only solution is hardware-based; the Lockpick. 2005-06 & some 2007 STS models require a version modified with a switch. See Tomm's threads or visit bestradardetectors.net.

OK Fellow Caddiers, over in the SRX Forum, we've got the "crack"--IF your NAV system is a Denso like ours is. (yours might not be)

Push & hold the musical note for at least 3 seconds to get to the "code" screen. Enter 1791 and hit ENTER. Now, if you remove your NAV DVD and insert a DVD movie, it'll play all the way to TIMBUCKTOO! Remember, though, this is ILLEGAL!

Now we're working on a way to use all the route menu while moving. By the way, the "cut-out" is NOT wires, it's part of the speed sensor system.

We too has a diagnostic menu but that code does not work. And your srx uses the same nav as the Deville Seville and Xlr which there is a run button hack for use of nav in drive.
