There's a switch (with a light icon) on the right side of the Instrument Panel Cluster to turn the interior lights off. (Second switch down.) Very common question peculiar to the XLR. Try that first.
If the switch is stuck ON . . . .
To remove the bulb without breaking it, (especially if you perform an LED upgrade) I used a piece of heat shrink that just barely fit over the bulb, then turned the light on to apply enough heat to shrink it, before pulling it straight out. Very simple and quick!
