This guy has a knack for designing a stylish concept that could easily be put into production. Maybe GM should hire him to design some of their new cars. Here's his Challenger concept which WILL be in production in 2008 or 2009.

I've heard rumours of a new Challenger, but is this really the design they'll be using? I'd like to know more, as they say in Starship Troopers.

Now this is how you modernize the style of an old muscle car classic. I really am not too fond of the way daimler-Chrysler did the Charger, but these look good.

Ralph, I want to the save those pics, but if I click on them I go to Imageshack. Help me out.

Stunning, simply stunning. It'll be enjoyable to watch the General (as in General Motors) try and defend the truck and SUV line while cars like this sell like hot cakes. Don't get me wrong, I hate Chrysler and Lee Iacocca with a passion, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to revive old classics. Gotta respect their balls for bringing back things like this, because, let's face it, it's one thing their biggest competition, GM, isn't doing.

there is no challenger concept out from DCX yet, those are just like the Charger renderings that where all over the net before the real one came out. I mean sure, that car looks great but think about this. What is Ford going to do with the next Stang....make it look like the 73?? Retro cars are cool but i hope Dodge doesnt make it look like a 71 challenger. Its not the 70s anymore. And if you think about it, making the charger a 4 door was the smartest thing they could have done. Now when the new "Challenger" does come out they have a bad ass 4 door and a bad ass coupe, not just two coupes. Anyone else notice that the retro cars seem to die off or not change at all? The new t-bird....gone, Prowler...gone, PT Cruiser hasnt changed, SSR i hear isnt doing that well, New beatle...still the same. Sure its cool but if you really want a car that looks like a 70s Challenger, get one. I wana see somthing new and exciting...but thats just me and iam one of those crazy people that got one of those 4 door chargers :cookoo:

I would like to go get another classic some time. However, it would be nice to see a car like in those pics with the technology of today's engineering under the hood and in the cabin.

Try holding your cursor over the pic, and then left-clicking the "save" icon that appears on the top left. I'll see if I can find the link tomorrow if that fails.

But don't think for a second that this "Cuda" will make it into production. It's just one guy's vision of what should be.

However, DCX is planning a new Challenger apparently. I'd like to know more about that.

On the money. The problem with cars that are too retro is that it's extremely difficult to take it further when it comes time to replace it. The cars may look very cool, but their appeal depends on nostalgia. VW's New Beetle is the prime example. They don't know what to do for a replacement, but everyone who really wants one went out a bought it. So they're in a bind. They can't change it too much or it won't be a Beetle anymore.

I was trying that, then I realized that my computer here at work is windows nt. Those three little icons don't show up. They really need to update these computers here at work. Anyways, I'll take care of it at home.
