Good morning people,

I was wondering since TAHOE, SUBURBAN and ESCALADE are all bascially GM,
are most of their engine parts basically the same part #s and interchangable
from vehicle to vehicle?

I am sure there might be some parts unique to the Cadillac, but overwhelmingly
the parts are all interchangable between these large GM trucks?

When you order parts for an Escalade are you charged more because it is for
an escalade? Or it doesn't matter?

Thank you

I don't know how much of the actual engine parts are interchangeable. Remember you have a 6.0 in your Escalade versus the 5.3 that the Tahoes came with.

Swap the engine mounts if needed

Modules and wiring harnesses are only slightly different
The front body panels is the biggest difference between the three(and rear quarter panels near the taillights)

The tranny can interchange regardless of engine size(mine has a 4l65e the 5.3 had the 4l60e variant)

Once you see the engine section of the gm service manual you see there is very little differences between them

The 6.0 is also used in the Chevy Express, Silverado HD, and Suburban, as well as the GMC Savana, Sierra HD, and Yukon XL.

Interesting...

I thought outside of the Escalade and Denali you had to get a 2500 series to get the 6.0L.
