I also have been wanting this but no luck with my dealer.

The style on the center dash looks 100% better then those dash kits.

Any help anyone can offer is ok with me. I love the way the wood on the center stack looks with the NAV version. I was looking for a wood kit last year and the kits contained too much wood for my tastes but the wood only on the sides on the NAV looks much better to me.

the part numbers for the 2006 factory woodgrain trim are
#15140468 (top center vents)
#25758553 (lower panel section around heater control)
the woodgrain trim around the radio/nav unit are part of the radio itself,so you will need a factor woodgrain radio to complete the look.

NOW were talking. So can we figure out how to get the cover that we can attach it to the nav unit?? There has to be a part, If the nav units w/wood appear on ebay, that would be cool if we could trade the covers with someone w/o wood dash?

Well if we could just find a place that could match the wood and make 2 strips for the nav, it woudent be bad. Id assume that these faceplates are like the current ones, impossible to buy.

As discussed above, we need to find those pieces. And YES, on the Nav unit, all you'd need are the 2 strips pn either side.

Another question on the 2 part numbers above, do they include the ash tray door or would that be ANOTHER ppart number??

I believe the 2nd part number is everything below the radio minus the heat controls. Ive seen them on ebay, and when I took out my radio I noticed that was all one piece.

Those burls look fairly close, I wonder if you could just get the nav piece and trim it..it looks pretty flexable from that bottom pic.

Are you talking about mixing the OEM stuff with an Ebay piece? The chance for a perfect match are slim IMHO.

Difficult to find a good match, maybe, impossible, no., but I'm still thinking that the trim piece for the nav SHOULD be available from somewhere? Maybe contact Delphi??

I cant see Delphi making these Nav units with this exact wood kit. The 2 side strips must be added by Cadillac or Cadillac is sending these pieces to Delphi to add to the radio's.

Where ever these side pieces come from, they have to be manufactured somewhere.

So these 2 part numbers and the Nav unit pieces (or radio pieces for the Navigational challenged) and we'd be in wood trim, am I correct in this assessment??
