I have an '06 with stock wheels; 225 50/16 and I have an opportunity to pick up a set of '08 CTS wheels with 205 55/18s. Is that 18" wheel going to fit or will it rub?
Thanks

I've seen 2 first gen CTS with 2nd gen 18s on them. The bolt pattern is different so I don't know how they fit, but they didn't look like there were adapters on there.

Most likely aftermarket rims. It's possible to install the Cadillac center caps on some aftermarket rims too.

Wife hit an iceberg. Broke and Bent the wheel so bad that it actually hit the brake line where it bolts to the caliper. I've been trying to find a used wheel, or even a set with tires, and I'm having the toughest time. There seems to be plenty of +08s and on, but not too many 06s. I just what some OEM wheels. I need new tires too but that's another story

So someone took the times to swap hubs to custom 5x120 hubs. I don't think so. There is a lot of companies that make damn good replicas. Perfect example is the Vogue CV7's, look just like V1 wheels in a 5x115. They were not OEM gen 2 CTS wheels. Maybe OEM ATS wheels.

Presumably you've looked in the Classifieds here? This guy's got some ATS wheels for sale for $400, not too bad. Or this old ad for '06 wheels from October - never got closed out, maybe he's still got 'em?

Try Craiglist. If you use searchtempest.com you can search all of the CL regions within a certain radius of you. I don't know where you're located (*cough* complete your profile) but there are ATS and 1st gen CTS wheels on CL within a few hours drive of me, so maybe you'll have the same luck.

Tons of options on Ebay.

Not replicas. I know what CV7s are. They look like chromed V wheels. Not V6 wheels. I even posted a link to a first gen for sale with second gen wheels years ago. Do a search. Doubt the listing is still up though

Thanks for the suggestions. The old CTS wheel ad; I emailed the guy but then realized that the dude's in Michigan. I'm in NYC. The ATS wheels I saw, but just assumed they wouldn't fit. I'll PM that seller just for shits and see where the wheels are. I did also check Craigs list and actually found a guy in Jersey with '06 wheels on a part-out car. I drove out to pick them up and the guy tells me he sold the whole car 15 minutes earlier...after I told him I was on my way and would be there in an hour. Special place in hell for him I say

I've got a 2003 with 16" wheels in Michigan that I'm parting out. The shipping is what's going to kill you though, as wheels with tires on them run $30-40 a piece to ship. I just shipped one of the aluminum spares to California to the tune of $38 bucks.
