Hi everyone !
On our new 2005 STS V6 1SC (my 2007 V8 1SE also had this exact some issue), when you go to put gas in the car (say the gauge is reading near Empty, and you put $10.00 of gas in (now-a days about 3 gallons or so), the needle jumps up to 1/2 full, which it is clearly NOT half full. Then, you'd ride around for about 20 miles or so, shut the car off. Only to later turn it back on, and the gauge reads almost empty again ???
My 2007 STS V8 did the SAME thing with the stupid gas gauge. So, in other words, it reads more than what's actually IN the tank, untill you drive it around for a bit, and let it "settle", then the needle will plunge to where it "actually" is.
Is there a solution for this problem ? After owning two STS's and the issue is with both of them, makes me wonder how many of YOU guys have this issue as well ? All my other vehicles, you put gas in (be it $10, $20, etc.) and the needle will go to exactly what you pumped in the car (and I'm NOT on any hills inclines/declines when doing this ether).
Any thoughts will be great !
Mike
