My 2005 DeVille has a problem with the AC - only the vents on the drivers side are blowing cold, and the passenger side dash vents are blowing how air.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

since ALL of the climate control actuators are electronic - and are monitored by the computer -
STEP #1 - ALWAYS - check for DTC's - Diagnostic Trouble Codes - using the on-board scanner -

when removing the knee bolster - PULL STRAIGHT BACK - DO NOT PULL DOWN -
there are plastic pins that WILL break if you pull it down -
I have done both sides on my car, the one on the drivers side being two months ago. The one your going to be doing (next to the glove box) is really easy. As Byrd said, you got lucky.
I finally got access to the unit behind the glovebox. There is a bolt in the center of the actuator. Anyone know what tool I need to pull out that bolt? I am having trouble pulling it out

Are you talking about this hole? It can only be a Phillips head or a small (7mm) hex bolt? I did mine a couple of years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy but I do remember it was very easy and had no trouble getting it out.
