My 2005 DeVille has a problem with the AC - only the vents on the drivers side are blowing cold, and the passenger side dash vents are blowing how air.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

since ALL of the climate control actuators are electronic - and are monitored by the computer -
STEP #1 - ALWAYS - check for DTC's - Diagnostic Trouble Codes - using the on-board scanner -
if you don't know how - go here -

post any codes you have -
ALONG WITH THEIR DEFINITIONS -

include whether they are C-Current or H-History -

for code definitions - go here -

here is a how-to video -

=========================

you will probably find a code for a faulty #2 passenger side MIX DOOR ACTUATOR -
along with a code for the #3 - back seat control out of range -

BOTH of these will be fixed by replacing the #2 - passenger side actuator -
located just left of the glove box -

you got lucky - it is the easiest to replace by removing the glove box -
the part you need is ACDELCO 15-73428 -$65 - with free shipping -

OR - $60 - with free shipping - on ebay -

and here is a HowTo - including pics -

SPECIAL NOTE -
when removing the knee bolster - PULL STRAIGHT BACK - DO NOT PULL DOWN -
there are plastic pins that WILL break if you pull it down -

There is a bolt in the center of the actuator.
Anyone know what tool I need to pull out that bolt?

did you look at the HowTo I included in post #2?
EVERYTHING you need to know - including which tools are needed - are in that HowTo -

and if you don't have a 5.5mm socket - try a 7/32
