I believe my torque converter has gone out. anyone on here had theirs go out if so what was the car doing.

No it will not go above 2500 rpm. it doesn't make a sound the car wont go over 25mph. However the car does have 236k miles on it. I had the transmission and torque converter changed at 215k miles. then I got a new engine put in at 230k miles. however after getting the engine put in. on cold mornings the torque converter would make a sound like it was spinning but it was not put in how it was supposed to, I would say it was like clicking but not really. But it would only do it when the car was cold.

I scanned it today and my throttle body had been unplugged. But for that noise I described in the other comment would that be the torque converter not being on correctly.
