I drive a 2004 CTS-V and it has original navigation, that is sometimes inaccurate, as roads have changed.
Which disk to I need?
I went to the GM site and it gave me two options when I put in my VIN.
Can someone explain the difference between the two and the cheapest way to get either of them. Is one of them updating the firmware, and the other the actual maps? There is a $100 price difference.

okay that makes a lot of sense.
ha.

will the maps look different at all? or the same, just more accurate? what about the interface of the radio/xm/cd? does this update that?

Is a firmware upgrade included in the disk? Based on what I have read, it seems like this is necessary, is that something separate?

I don't believe there is anything on the DVD but maps and point of interest data. Should look the same but have anything that changed over the last couple of years. A firmware upgrade will require a different disc...probably a CD as it shouldn't be so much data to require a DVD.
