I have a 2004 CTS 3.6L that was diagnosed with misfires on 1, 3, & 5. I had the plugs and coil packs replaced and on the startup the car was running rough, loud, and shaking. I replaced the PCV Valve but the problem is still there. The battery keeps dying and the brakes are really tight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Aboard !!!

Your car has its own diagnostics system built-in. The test port is under the dash next to the steering column on most cars. Borrow or buy an OBD-II trouble code scanner and pull any stored trouble codes. They read out as a letter, 4 digits, a letter. Use this link to decipher each code and post it all here. http://obdii.pro/en/model/gm

Sounds like your shadetree mechanic did you no favors.
