While driving there's a constant loud knocking noise coming from the drivers side. It sounds like it may be in the suspension and the noise comes up through the steering column. Any thoughts????

:welcome:

We'll need more info. When hitting bumps (suspension related)? While accelerating (motor mount)? Maybe exhaust system mounting? You really need to get under it and have a look.

P.S.
I edited your title to be more descriptive.

Re: 2003 Seville STS

If you're convinced the noise/feel is coming through the steering column, there are two immediate possibilities: Somewhere in the 2000 and later Seville recalls there's one for improperly torqued steering rack mounting bolts; the other involves a creaking Intermediate Steering Shaft. A lesser possibility is a bad upper strut mount bearing.

Google "cadillac forums seville intermediate steering shaft".

Re: 2003 STS - Knocking Noise

What is the best way to fix the intermediate steering shaft because I have the same issue.

Re: 2003 Seville STS

Replace it with the re-design ISS. Talk to Chris in Parts at Rippy Cadillac over there >>> tomorrow morning, EST.
