I’m new here, and just picked up a 2003 STS for a work car. When I start it, to warm it up (25 degrees out), it seems like it takes forever to blow warm air. The temp gauge rises up, to let’s say normal (half way) and it seems to keep blowing cool air until I’ve been driving for 10 minutes. What should I be looking for? I can change it from defrost to floor, to vent, but it takes awhile to blow warm after running for 15 minutes.

Welcome Aboard !!! You are now on a very steep learning curve - a 2003 STS may be quite different from what you're used to. Please update your profile to show cars, location, time zone, other stuff. Look at other login banners for ideas.

What is the ambient temp displayed in the DIC? Does it closely approximate actual ambient temp? Do you use the HVAC system in AUTO or manually? Is some DEFROST or A/C function set?

Read the owner's manual on the HVAC system as well as Personalization settings. The car reacts to what YOU have set into it every time you insert the key into the ignition or lock/unlock it with one of the fobs (2 fobs, 3 keys).

If you're used to a mushy ride, the F55 MRC suspension may seem harsh. It's not - it's a high performance active suspension system.

Study every sticky in any forum of interest.

Cold start - fast idle sequence, buckle up, put it in D and drive normally for the first 10 miles. Extended cold idle is murder on an engine. Most of these FWD Northstar cars will blow warmish air - not HOT - within the first 2 driving miles after cold start. The cooling system is quite different from most other engines. If the heated seat(s) don't work one or more resistance elements is/are probably burned out. New set heater pads in the field.

Your temp gauge, fan sequence, normal running temps, thermostat settings ............
