Looking at a classified and it says 2003 cts with V8 engine... "Luxury Sport package with sport suspension and sport shifting, This is the better suspension and the better engine." Did the 2003's have a v8 option, I havent seen that before and was curious...

2003 CTS? No, only V6.
If there is a V8, it was an engine swap and if it was an engine swap, it would also need to be a transmission swap, drive train swap, rear diff swap, suspension swap.....

Ask seller to count plug wires, exhaust stacks, or other indicator of 8 cylinders. He is uninformed or a liar.
Have him get an oil filter part # (for a V8) from a local parts store.

Not sure what it means by 'the better engine'. The 03's could be had in any engine size, as long as it was a 3.2L V6! LOL
