Hello,
I checked my fluid for the first time, the reserve tank had always looked full prior since I bought it 2 months ago
so when I open it up, it looks brown, which didnt seem normal (but I am just a noob)
I ended up not putting in more antifreeze until I made sure its ok here
thanks

if it is an 03, have you considered having the radiator flushed? how many miles are on this this car?

it could be time for a flush. also, the antifreeze recommended is orange in color, not the normal neon green

So since it's normally orange in color. It being brown isn't really a bad thing considering it's age and usage. Though, when you do a flush and it turns brown with in a few months, then you might have a problem. Oh, and don't do your back yard flush. Have it done at the dealer or some local shop. Some local shops might just use anti freeze that you had bought. Would be cheaper...

And check your engine oil to be sure there is no anti-freeze in the oil. If the head gasket were bad, that would be the symptom. The good news is that the 3.2 engine is not known for that problem.

Could be the hoses wearing out, I had the same issue with my truck, the bodyshop after my accident put in all used parts(thanks to a bad insurance policy) and I suspect the hoses and rad were garbage, had them flush the system and put on new hoses, I still have some residue in my overflow tank but the coolant is clean.

Really? Who was the insurance company that did that crap? Where was the repair done, local or dealer?

It was some canadian bank that my insurance was with.
Bodyshop was a prefered shop by the insurance, but it is also
One of the biggest chain bodyshops in gta...also
They are joined with all sorts of dealerships.
I'm sure the shop manager got some $ kick back on it, they put 10,500
Into fixing a car that was worth $9,000-12,000
At the time and still isn't fixed, bent frame etc.
I argued for 1.5years to get it written off and ...well
I got the shaft....

This is the reason I got the cts...I just use the truck in the snow now.

But at least you get cheap or free medical insurance...

Yeah, no need to talk about that. I've heard it's not that great since you have to wait and wait and wait for a doctors appointment.

Ya, for anything major its good, no questions asked.
But try to find a family doctor...good luck.. Big
Shortage, they all go to usa to start off cuz they
Make more unless their teacher signs them to their
Personal clinic.
Luckily when my doc retired he hired one of his students
And signed over his clients to her.

Hospitals emerg taked 3hrs minimum unless you are brought
In ambulance, my friend waited 8hrs to be seen and then they
Had to opperate right away his appendix was about to burst.
