Thanks for your reply, would it be the fuse Labeled AUDIO in the rear driver side fusebox, In the owners manual it states that this fuse is for the radio/onstar module, I do not use the onstar so I would not know if its being affected

what does the clock on the DIC say?
there was a lot of complaints about the clock on the dic and the dash cluster not matching up, or it was loosing time i cant remember.
most people with the 03 swap out the cluster for one with engine temp.

Thanks for the tips, there is no clock its the engine temp on the cluster, I have recently purchased my cts (dream come true!) but there seems to be a lot of small issues with it. I have checked the fuse and it seems all fine. I think I will need to take it to the dealer, I am located in the GTA , Brampton to be exact, if maybe some can refer me to a dealer maybe they will treat me kinder...financially that is :)

sounds like you may not have real mileage on your car.
what are the other issues you have?

is the car remembering your am/fm presets?

The presets seem to be fine, the other issue that I did notice is that i was driving and then all of a sudden the whole cluster lit up like a Christmas tree and then the clock reset to 12 again. Also the check engine turned on but then turned off several hours later, and then it happened yesterday afternoon and turned off this morning ... I really hope this cadi wont take me to the cleaners :)

pull out the dash cluster and make sure its plugged in properly.
check your battery wires, actually pulling them off leaving for a few min then hooking it back up may not be a bad idea, its how you reset the car, i think you have to leave the bat disconnected for 10 min.
next check the wires on the back of the deck.

if you bring it to a dealer for this and it doesnt happen while its there they will put "customer concern not duplicated" meaning they cant find the problem.

Thanks a bunch ghettomike I will surely give this a try later this afternoon once I am done here at work. My cadi has about 190,000 k on it.. the fuel pump seems to be howling quite a bit, ive been told that the fuel pump needs to be replaced, have you had this done on your cts and do you know roughly how much this would cost to do?.

what makes you think its the fuel pump howling? is it howling while you drive?
usually howling is the differential, start by changing the diff fluid and use a LSD lubricant additive, its not required but should help quit her down.

you should also check to see if your car has had the brake line recall done on it. they rust out and leak, its a free repair.

The howling starts from the time I turn the ignition on, its coming from the rear passenger side, it howls even if the car is idle, a mechanic who checked out the car for me told me it was the fuel pump. Thanks for the tip on the recall, I just called the dealer and they said that I am entitled to the front brake hose replacement (will take care of that asap). I will try to change the diff fluid over the weekend hopefully it will make the ride a little more quiet

did you buy it at a GM dealer?

i think there are fuel pump lubricants (i dont know the name of any off hand, but google is your friend), try one of those first, also dont let your tank run low, the fuel is what keeps the pump cool...its suppose to stay submerged all the time.

I purchased the car from a colleague of mine (female) I guess that is why I am feeling a little extra worried..lol. the car is in great shape otherwise besides these small issues mentioned. I did notice that on a quarter tank it started to feel sluggish
