Re: 2002 Cadillac STS starting problem

I put in a new battery but my car won't start, won't jump start, won't make a sound when I turn ignition key.
Do you mean that absolutely nothing works when you turn the key to the ON position? Does the Driver Information Display (DIC) light up? Do you hear a chime sound when the key is ON and the LF door is open?

Simply replacing a battery is not the reason your engine will not crank. There has to be 'something' you left out of your original statement.
Why did you install a new battery?
Is the new battery the proper Group 79 replacement?
Are the battery cables clean and properly torqued?

A lot of questions but I need the answers before we can proceed.
