=====================
STEP #1 - ALWAYS - check for DTC's - Diagnostic Trouble Codes -
include the DEFINITIONS - and whether the codes are C=Current or H=History -

connect a SET of AC gauges to the refrigerant part of the system -
set the cabin temp to 60* - full cold -
set the blower to a medium speed -
insert a thermometer into the LEFT/CENTER dash vent -
hold the throttle at around 2000 RPM -
close the doors -

post the
ambient air temp -
duct temp -
BOTH the HIGH side pressure AND the LOW side pressure readings -

I did exactly that. Dash still says low refrigerant/ ac off

I’m going to try disconnecting the battery for 15 min and see if turning it off/on again works

you did exactly that - what?

did you connect a real set of AC gauges?
did you post the ambient air temp and duct temp?
did you post BOTH the HIGH side pressure AND the LOW side pressure readings?

if YES - I must have missed your post -
