ive seen a lot of posts on this ..my car has cold passenger side ac warm drivers side ac and the rear seems warm as well...im thinking its the the blend door actuator..only question I have is where is it?..i have taken the glove box out found one to the left of the glove box not it looked on drives side found the mode actuator not it...I pretty sure i know where the passenger side actuator is ..but I have no clue where the drivers side blend door actuator is...please help fyi I have chiltons forget it nothing..I also he a caddy service cd nothing either why do they hide a this ac stuff?....checked this forum cant seem to find the location of the actuator checked you tube nothing..please help.. when I finally find it I may take a few pics and post them thanks Blotto

Before you go digging, have you pulled the codes?

Could be blend doors, but could also be low refrigerant.

probably not the actuator -
much more likely is that the AC system is low on freon -
check your high and low pressures -
post the findings here - along with the ambient air temperature -

the passenger side and rear temps are both controlled by the #2 actuator -

found the mode actuator
the #1 mix door actuator is right next to the MODE door actuator -

I have chilton.................I also he a caddy service cd -
chiltons - haynes - and the counterfeit CD's are all totally useless -

I do not have HVAC scanner. I'll look at on board later.

I put in 7 oz of 134a compressor was circulating and cutting on and off but it was 65 degrees outside. I'll post high/low pressure but my gages are for R12 but I have the right hoses. I assume the pressures will read the same if not I need to buy new gages. ...I did not see a actuator next to the mode door actuator. is it above it?? ....Chilton bad service manual cd barely works.. it was and Ebay thing and its only engine and transmission.

no the 7oz did not work...I bought a set of 134a manifold gauges now at 6pm my time im going out to check pressures and charge if needed..ill post the results...I am dumb but I still have no idea where the lh blend door actuator is..from what I understand its only a .8 hr job..i look more..blotto

I seriously doubt that -

maybe the RIGHT/PASSENGER side mix door actuator -
located to the left of the glove box -

remember -
the various actuators are monitored by the computer -
if the actuator has a problem - a code would be set -

if you don't have a #1 mix door actuator code -
look elsewhere for the problem -

problem was low 134a fixed... I think the LH actuator is #7 on the passenger side..not on drivers side..but im glad I don't need to replace it tyvm Blotto

Ok you were right it was low on 134a put in 18oz and 4oz oil drivers temp was 42.5-47.5f and passange was a bit cooler..after a hr or so tweaking the Freon..the gauges finally leveled off to about 40 low and 180-210 High...outside temp was 79-82F but its fixed now I have to put the glove box back in and the drivers underside panel and clean up tyvm for all your help priceless...I owe you a cold coke...Blotto

I think the LH actuator is #7 on the passenger side..not on drivers side..
no - this stuff can get confusing -
the #7 actuator is the same part -
used in two different locations - for two different doors -

the #1 MIX door actuator is the drivers side -
it IS the #7 actuator - on the left side - in Rangers illustration -

the #2 MIX door actuator is #18 -
and controls the passenger side AND rear temps -

the #7 actuator on the RIGHT side
is the same part as the #7 actuator on the left -
but is the RECIRCULATE door - or outside air door actuator -

#47 is the MODE door actuator -
