Hi There,

Great forum with a lot of info!

I need a couple of new speakers in my 2001 Cadillac Seville STS. 2 are blown (both passenger side doors)
and one of the dash speakers is all 'crackly'. So I want new speakers. Do I:

Replace with original Bose speakers that I can find on ebay, (not available where I live)
or
Replace all speakers with another brand

Please note - I want to keep the original HU and also fit an FM modulator

I just want it to sound good again - like it should. I am no audio junkie. I'm quite happy listening to the V8 most days!

If you replace with aftermarket the only brand offering speakers matching OEM impedance is Infinity - Otherwise stick with eBay, speakers are cheap on there.

I'd recommend a hard wired AUX input. Better sound quality than a transmitter.

Speakers from Bose equipped 97-04 Corvettes are interchangeable as well and they come paired with the tweeters that fit in the dash should you need one sometime. Just have to remove them from the mounting panel. Lots on eBay for sale.
