Hi all, I have a 99 Deville and I do not like the radio controls that I currently have. Would a wheel from an early 2000's work? Would I need a new clockspring?

As always, thanks!

What is not compatible? Are the switches the wrong resistance? (that I can fix) or will the wheel physically not fit? (that I can't)

Thanks!!

The wiring and connectors are different. No clue if they're electronically compatible otherwise. The air bag is different as well. Physically, the wheel was designed for a different column.

There would also be duplicate cruise control switches on the wheel, if that matters to you.
