Front blower doesn't work in my car. Purchased new blower motor and plugged it in to see if it was the problem, new fan doesn't work either. I have looked through tons of posts but can't find anything pertaining to this year's problem. Is there a control module or programmer for this car? If so where is it located? Can it be tested? Thanks for the info, this site is great!:worship:

My car is older ('92 STS), but someone pointed me to an electronic control module for the cabin fan. On my car, it is located on the housing that the fan mounts into- the wiring from the harness to the fan plugs into said module, and when replacing the fan it connected to it from inside the housing.

Maybe someone here can help you trace down your issue, or at least specify if there is a similar unit on your car...

From 99 FSM: the blower control module and the dash integration module are both located on the blower housing behind the glove box. You have to remove the DIM from its bracket, take off the bracket and the blower control is behind that. With the fan speed on High you should have 12 V between the purple and black wires.

Well, I replaced the module tonight and still no blower:rant2: . I do have voltage readings if anyone can tell me what they mean. On the plug before the module, a I have 6.8volts between the small wire and the orange wire when the fan switch is on low. The voltage increase as I push the fan switch to High with ending voltage just under 12v. I have millivolts between the orange and black wires that varies as i move the switch up and down. Now when I plug it into the ac module, I have 12v at the purple wire and ground(not the black wire). I have nothing between the purple and black wires. This is the same voltage reading I had with the old module.

Guess I'm looking for answers. Could I have a bad new ac module. I did drop for the ac delco original replacement. I am assuming that the switch is ok, since I have varied voltage at the module. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:worship:
