I have a 95 & 99 sevilles. The 99 has a blown up motor. I took the Bose steroids out of 99 and want to install in my 95 . The speakers in the 95 are Bose will the 99 plug in and work in the 95

NO -
the '99 radio is part of the anti-theft system -

the "TheftLoc" system built into the radio records the VIN the first time it is turned ON -
then - every time the radio is turned ON - it sends a signal -
and compares the current VIN with the stored VIN -

IF the VIN's match - the radio works -
IF the VIN's do NOT match - the radio gets LOCKED -
and won't function again until it is unlocked using the TECH2 scan tool -

the '95 does NOT have this feature -
so there is no way for the radio to record the VIN -

Thanks, bass - I was a tad foggy on the difference between years - this one sounds like an aftermarket swap with help from the guys at Crutchfield. (?)
