So in my caddy my license plate lights wouldn't work and no fuse was blown so I hard wired them to a switch to turn them on manually well something happened to my reverse lights apparently so I reverted back and rehooked the LP lights back up how they originally were and here's my problem. When I turn my lights on and go in reverse I have no reverse lights. When I turn my lights off and go in reverse they work fine, even my LP lights come on I dont understand and am super frustrated at this point anyone have any clues. The fuses are all good unless its a relay idk how to check those though

Welcome to CF! I changed your thread title to better reflect your problems.

You'll need the correct wiring schematic for your 1999 rear lighting. It's in the GM/Cadillac/Helm service manuals (used copies on eBay) or subscribe the car to the same manuals online at www.alldatadiy.com.

Your rear lighting looks like my 2002 (in pictures) so maybe this will help -
