Hi guys im hoping you can help a guy from across the pond.
I have a 1999 Seville STS RHD which I bought a few weeks ago,im getting through the various issues they have,mostly with the help of searching this forum.

I have an issue where I get sporadic non starts in the morning.It will start up 1st thing in the morning fine but then if i drive a mile down the road to get fuel and switch off all i get is a click,all dash lights go out and it wont turn over or anything.Leave it a minute or too and its fine.

Normally id say its the startermotor but when it did it the other day i decided to keep it in the cranking position and I cycled the shifter from park to neutral and back to park fairly rapid and she started up.Happy days.must be the neutral safety switch.
I will be ordering one from Rock Auto later this week along with a new set of top mounts for the front but if it goes bad from now until then is there a way to jumper the wires at the plug so it thinks im in neutral all the time?Not ideal i know but id rather not be stuck somewhere if it fails completely.

I know there are 2 plugs on there im just unsure which wires to jumper?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys thanks for the replies(not seeming to get email notifications so sorry for the late reply)

Ive done a few scans previously and nothing pertaining to the start issues has arose.

Here is a scan from a couple of weeks ago.Bare in mind a lot of the codes are due to a flat battery as the guy i bought it off had fitted an under powered wrong top mount pole battery.This has since been rectified along with cleaning all the grounds in the rear and in the engine bay and also adding a large stainless braided earth strap from chassis to engine.

looking at the CURRENT codes -
you still have a battery/low voltage problem

Sorry I should have specified these codes were pulled while the battery was still insufficient. The only current codes showing now are the 2 for the rear compressor which I'm currently getting to the bottom of.
All the others are history codes now :)

Sounds like you lose battery connection while cranking, coherent with dash lights going out and clicking sounds. Check for a loose or dirty connection at the battery or chassis ground. Could also be a battery going dead, although doesn't sound like it at this point.

Hi, thanks for your reply. As above battery is brand new, all grounds have been checked, cleaned up and replaced and also a large extra braided earth fitted from chassis to engine.
It's just this second done it again but I wiggled the shifter up and down and then popped it into neutral and she felt Ted straight up!
