Hi guys im hoping you can help a guy from across the pond.
I have a 1999 Seville STS RHD which I bought a few weeks ago,im getting through the various issues they have, mostly with the help of searching this forum.
I have an issue where I get sporadic non starts in the morning. It will start up 1st thing in the morning fine but then if i drive a mile down the road to get fuel and switch off all i get is a click, all dash lights go out and it wont turn over or anything.Leave it a minute or too and its fine.
Normally id say its the startermotor but when it did it the other day i decided to keep it in the cranking position and I cycled the shifter from park to neutral and back to park fairly rapid and she started up.Happy days.must be the neutral safety switch.
I will be ordering one from Rock Auto later this week along with a new set of top mounts for the front but if it goes bad from now until then is there a way to jumper the wires at the plug so it thinks im in neutral all the time? Not ideal i know but id rather not be stuck somewhere if it fails completely.
I know there are 2 plugs on there im just unsure which wires to jumper?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Gary
