The only way the air conditioning will work is to turn it down to 60 degrees and the only way the heater will work is to turn it up to 90 degrees. The fan blows at all temperature settings but there is no cooling or heating except at the extremes. Any help wil be appreciated.

I have a '99 SLS, with mine and I'm sure with yours, the climate control has the AC on automatically. Press the AC button next to the fan speed button. On the control screen it will say that the AC is now off. After that, the heater will act normal since the AC is off. Hope this will fix the problem and it's not something else.

Have you run codes?

My guess is faulty cabin temperature sensor - code B1317.

Thanks sfwoodruff, The cabin temperature sensor was the problem. I installed it this evening and it works fine. I live in Ohio in Jefferson County. Thanks again, Frank
