I had my car towed to a repair shop to have it repaired as the ignition cylinder went out. After it was repaired, however, the shop indicated that my car still won't start and the anti theft system is throwing 4 codes out even after refreshing the system. What could possibly be the issue?

I think the '99 still used the VATS system, if I remember correctly. Did they replace the cylinder and key with the same resistor value as was in the old one? There are 15 different resistors.

Post the codes you are getting along with their definitions.

They replaced the entire cylinder. I'll ask for the codes and post them shortly.

OK, but the cylinder and ket resistors MUST be the same as the original or the PCM will not recognize it and it will never start.
