Where is the Drain Hose (the one coming out of the coolant cap) suppose to go? Is it supposed to lead back into the coolant system? or is supposed to just overflow and hit the road.

Tonight when I got home I noticed a line of coolant that followed me up the road and driveway, im not sure how far the line is... Also, after driving my car for about 40-50 miles my car overheats, before it overheats the A/C turns off, or at least the dash says it is, and then the it tells me to idle the engine, when i do, i immediately get out of my car and notice coolant not leaking but flooding the road, looks like maybe a half a gallon of coolant. I then need to replace the lost coolant before driving again.

The radiator was replaced recently, so what's going on?

Okay, well on my way home the coolant reached 248 degrees and climbing, so i put my hazards on and drove 50 on the freeway until i got home. The coolant temperature dropped slowly going at 50, but as i was making my final turn onto my street, i noticed white smoke coming out of the dashboard, through the steering wheel. Im scared to get into my car again.
