The switch is in the buckle, you need a new one. Two wire connector near where the buckle bolts to the seat. I think unplugging it makes the light go out.
1998 Deville seat belt dash light stays on

I have a 1998 Deville that I am having trouble making the seat belt dash light go off. It is just the drivers seat. The seat belt light will go off if I start the 2 seat belt latches at a angle pressing hard to latch sometimes it takes a couple times to make the light go out. If I try to latch straight in the dash light stays on and blinks. There must be a sensor in the seat belt latch that needs changed, can anyone tell me how to get to it and fix it? thanks TexasCadillac
