anybody know the average starter current draw on a 96 eldo northstar? I think the starter might be pulling too much making it hard to start.

Don't know for sure, but I've seen starters drawing between 250-300 amps cause slow starts. On a N* I would guess that 300-350 is about the most you would want to see.

What does the DIC(driver information center) tell you the volts are at when you turn the key on?

Compare that with volts at the battery.

Does it crank slow? If so I would suspect corrosion, or loose connections. Then make sure the battery is up to snuff by having it load tested. Even new or newer batteries can degrade to a point that they can't keep up with the electrical demands.
