So I changed out my alternator last week. In the prosses of that I had noticed my plug from my car to the alternator has for slots in it but only one of the four slots is being utilized. So my question is if that is normal or not. Cause all auto stores show different. They show three to four slots being used not jest one.

Not normal. An alternator that uses only one wire is a "universal" or "self-start" model. Not original for your engine/system.

Your best bet would be to wait for a member with your year/model/engine to post a charging wiring diagram or take out a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com
