It soulds like a bad mattress that people are "gettin buisy" on. How can I fix this squeek. Thanks in advance. P.S. Im new to greasing fitting and what not. THanks

Mine just recently started doing the same thing with the passenger side... Isn't there a rubber padding in between the spring and the upper contact area? If there is I would suspect that became worn out, allowing metal to metal contact... Whoops, gah, I'm late for class...

Wow I'm amazed at how close I was. After inspecting the spring, I found that yes there is rubber padding in between the spring and the frame. On mine it wasn't worn out at all, in fact it was in perfectly good condition. What happened was the rubber somehow shifted about 1/4th of an inch and that was allowing the spring to contact the frame.

So, does anybody know the correct procedure to remove the spring so that I can re-seat the rubber pad?
