Replacing the ignition coils on my 95' Deville with North Star engine. The new coils come with oblong orange rubber boot that was not installed on the original coils. Should I use these when I install the new coils, I am assuming they go over the tabs before you install the coil. Thanks for your assistance.

Hmmmm ............. Picture(s) ? Those coils have base contacts for the ICM.

They are insulators.

The red ones go over the coil spades.






I believe the green one goes over the plug mounts where the cable plugs into the ICM. (this one is shown in red)

Hey Submariner409, I know a guy from the Pensacola Fishing Forum that uses the nickname Submariner. Fished with him a few times, great guy along with all of the guys that have fished with me from the Pensacola Naval Air Station. Always a joy to have them on board.
