I have a 1994 fleetwood that when i put it in reverse it chater before it engages
and some times i have to rev it up to make it engage.
all other drive workes good

is it slow to engage or does it vibrate a little etc.


check the oil level that can always cause odd problems

it chatters and it happens mostly when the car is cold

check the fluid level and if its ok then the trans is about to give up so just run it carefully unti it goes
