I have a 1994 fleetwood brougham with a stalling problem. My mechanic says the ac control module is shorting out. He is looking for a used one, but having no luck. I priced a new one at Rock Auto for $260!! Has anyone heard of this module causing stalling problems? Where can I find one at a reasonable price? Thanks for your help!!

what exactly do you need?
the optical sensor in the distributor
or the module located at the coil?

are you sure its not just a sticky egr?
did you run the diagnostics through the a/c controller?

if so any codes?

let me know Jim

thank you (thefleetwoodguy). My mechanic said the ac control module is located in the dash behind the climate controls. The computer does not show any codes. Could this module be causing the intermitent stalling problem?

guess I read through your first post too fast
I dont see how thw ac controller could cause your car to stall
on the other hand I cant say its impossible
I have 1 left, I have sold 3 of them in the last month

if you want to give it a shot just pm me and we can go from there

if that is your problem it will fall under weird and strange!
my best guess would be ignition/egr issue, but from here thats all it is , is a guess.....................Jim
