Sort of a lame question, and I can't wait for all the manuals to get here.
1993 Eldorado Touring Coupe, manual says gas capacity of 19.8 gallons, (doesn't specify Eldorado or ETC, so I assume same for both). Went in for a fillup (my first in this baby), and I pumped 19.3 gallons, yet gas gage was halfway between 1/8 and 1/4, and range was fluctuating between 100-115 miles.
Does the ETC have a bigger tank, or did I just come dangerously close to running the tank on empty b/c of faulty gages?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
George Sklias

Fuel tank capacity is 76.0 L or 20 gallons.

Good thing you filled up when you did.

Thanks for the reply, now that I know I won't let it get me stranded.

On the similar discussion about my current car - "How could I put more fuel into my tank that is its capacity?" there were basically two answers:
1. Every car fuel tank has a small reservoir to keep fumes when tank is full and outside temperature is high to avoid high pressure in fuel tank.
There is possible to fill this reservoir when tanking.
2. Gas station's fuel meter is inacurate and when it wrotes you filled 19 gallons, in reality you filled only 18.5 gallons etc.

I am not sure if first answer applies also on Caddys, but think so.
