1992 Fleetwood brougham factory CD and Tape player not working?

Hi if someone can help me I have a 1992 fleetwood brougham big body it has factory CD player and tape player the radio works perfect all the buttons work but when you insert a CD it doesn’t suck it up automatically for bouth cd and tape you just put it in your self fully and notting happeneds it’s dapper to enter half way then automatically suck it in? Any help on this one I don’t wanna do after market I really wanna fix the factory one

Will need disassembly, cleaning, repairs and rebuild.

There are/were mechanical switches that activated levers and slides. The contact switches were eventually updated with electric/laser eyes that controlled motors that activate the levers and slides.
