1991 Seville -- Need Your Advice Before Purchase

I located near my home a clean 1991 Seville with 90K miles. The car is clean and appears to have been well cared for. I am looking for a car I could enjoy driving on the weekends -- Would like to find a car with power, lots of comfort, smooth ride, and good handling. Can you tell me about this car? What are the strengths? Weaknesses? Thanks!

It wouldn't be my choice for a fun weekend car,but if your more concerned about comfort and a nice ride I would say it's a good pick,
the 4.9 engine is almost bullet proof and should satisfy your power needs,it's quick of the line,of course the price comes into it too,how much do they want for it?.
Seville is priced at $3600. The Allantes I have looked at are all at $8k with higher mileage. Not sure I would like the Allante, either. ???

I.M.H.O., $3600.00 is way to much, sevilles and allantes are like apples and
oranges, not in the same league, look in ebay and auto trader for prices on sevilles, this is not a high demand model, though basically a good car.
I will try to negotiate to $3k. Would you recommend I look at the Allante?
Do you have any experience with these cars? I have an 88 DeVille and really enjoy the ride, comfort, and power of the 4.5.

I looked at auto trader and the early 90's sevilles are more expensive than I thought, I am not an expert on allante's,they look sharp, but from what I've read on this forum they can be quirky.
I guess I was basing the price on the seviile with what I paid for my 92
eldorado 6 months ago,in good to excellent condition,90 K, I paid $2500.00 for it.
the seville will be a little firmer than your deville is, but not a full on sports car; think luxury cruiser. The allante is more of a sports car; and expect to spend money on it. On the seville worst case it could nickle and dime you, and the biggest risk with that milage is the transmission, check the condition of the fluid. when it comes to the allante improper maintenance can cost an arm and a leg, and even the little things (like the odd sized bose that requires $150 speakers) can add up quick.

Another thought would be to look for a 92 seville or STS, or a 93 seville, those would be the next generation but with the 4.9.

Personally, I would love to find a nice 90-91 STS...that would be a fun little car
