Car Boggs Dow when accelerating. What could be the problem

could be any number of things. bad EGR, incorrect fuel flow, failing ignition parts, etc.

Would need more info. Any check engine lights or codes?
Any more details? Which engine?

I second the notion of a bad EGR valve.

A stuck open EGR will cause it to stumble and/or stall at idle. A stuck closed EGR will cause higher emissions. How will it cause stumbling on acceleration? My list: fuel pump fuel filter bad cat plugs/wires/cap timing

Plugs cap & rotor wouldn't hurt if it's been a while. Next check timing because if that's off by much that'll cause hesitation during pickup.
