the F is for BCM codes. the display starts with one E for the PCM history, then E.E. for current. Same sequence follows for BCM codes starting with one F for history and F.F. for current ones. F48 = refrigerant system problem. F31= Display panels to BCM problem. F32 = PCM-BCM data problem (this one has to be a HARD code, and not intermittant)
On the code E48, you can clean the EGR valve, and the EGR stack tubes under your throttle to get rid of that. EGR valves rarely need replacing.
